The Colorado Rockies Are Going to The World Series!

What an incredible time in Colorado sports. I usually don’t use this blog for sports, but it is kind of hard not to. The Colorado Rockies have had a Cinderella post season this far and have won the last 7 games in the post season in a sweep to get to the World Series. Whoever faces them in the World Series has got to be a little nervous to say the least.

The best part of the team is that 15 of its 25 players on the post season roster are home-grown. With this the Rockies are a young team and should be a success for years to come. The Colorado Springs Sky Sox, our local AAA baseball team, has had a lot to do with the Rockies success. Sky Sox games have been fun over the years to watch and continue to be with the talent they are sending to the Rockies. 20 of the 25 players on the Rockies post season roster have played for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox with 13 of them playing in 2007.

The Sky Sox stadium (Security Service Field) is located near Springs Ranch in the Powers Area. Sky Sox tickets for the 2008 season will range from $6-$11 with other packages, suites, and more available. Click here to find out more on ticket pricing. Go Rockies!!!
